Welcome from the Dean

Thomas S. Robertson Dear Wharton Alumni and Friends

I am pleased to invite you to join me for the Wharton Global Alumni Forum that will take place in Lima, Perú on March 12-14, 2008.  This will be the 14th Global Alumni Forum we have held in South America and the first ever in Perú. This will also be my first Forum as dean, and I am looking forward to meeting many of you for the first time.

The theme for the 2008 forum in Lima is “New Directions for Latin America.”

Under the leadership of Chairman Raimundo Morales, WG’70, the organizing committee is putting together an excellent program for the Global Alumni Forum in Lima.  For those of you who have attended forums in the past, you know that one of the most important benefits of participation is the personal and professional networking that takes place between sessions and at the meals.  For those of you who have not yet attended a Global Alumni Forum, I urge you to consider joining your classmates, professors, and thought leaders from government and industry for a unique experience.

Globalization will be a critical success factor in Wharton’s future.  In order to continue our roles as the leading source for business thought and as the leading location for the training of future business leaders, we must all learn and work together.   I believe that the Forum in Lima will provide much food for thought and many opportunities for joint learning.  I look forward to participating.

Sincerely,

Thomas S. Robertson
