Leonardo Letelier

Latin America Ashoka

Leonardo Letelier has always been involved with business and social issues, having worked with such diverse matters as financial derivatives and anti-trust legislation. At Ashoka, he is the Managing Director of the Full Economic Citizenship Initiative (FEC) in which he enables commercial alliances between social entrepreneurs and private companies to deliver products and services to small producers and low-income families. Leonardo directs the Latin American efforts of the Ashoka´s global FEC initiative, leading Brazilian endeavors.

Before Ashoka, Leonardo worked for McKinsey & Co for 8 years, supporting clients in energy and telecom industries with their organizational, operational and strategic challenges. During that time, Leonardo became close to Ashoka and its network of social entrepreneurs and supported several of them directly. He later founded Sitawi, whose mission is to advance the social business convergence through innovative financing and advice mechanisms.

Born in Chile and raised in Brazil, Leonardo is married and speaks four languages fluently
